Located within a private arts community in the historic Mission District, The Grael is a 2,500 square-foot venue with three rooms:
At 1,100 square feet, the main room is naturally lit by atelier skylights and western-facing windows that overlook a community garden with angel trumpets and other fragrant blooms.
The adjacent room is 700 square feet, painted black from ground to gables, lending itself to a private, atmospheric space.
The third room is a great breakout space. Its flexibility makes it perfect for a staging area, dressing room, or a quiet space to have a private conversation over coffee.
The secluded location and soundproof walls make The Grael ideal for escaping the worries of the city.

A beautiful space for photography and videography, The Grael has two rooms that can be booked individually or as a full-venue rental, available at a discounted rate. Whatever your vision, we want to help it come to life.
Whether you’re hosting a team-building workshop, or a class on tintype photography, the Grael is an ideal space to foster education and understanding between communities.
Creating an atmosphere for people to meet, commune, and build relationships is a major part of what we do at the Grael. From gallery openings to galas, we understand that who walks the floors is more important than what hangs from the walls.
Anything truly great takes time. We offer custom rates for ongoing events, classes, or extended projects.
